Ingredients

  • 5 Pointed Gourds
  • 3 tbsps oil
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • 3 bay leaves
  •  2 dry chillies
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 tsp ginger garlic paste
  • ¾ tsp cumin powder
  • ¾ tsp turmeric powder
  •  salt to taste
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  •  1 cup yogurt
  •  5 pieces of fried fish

Instructions

  1. Slit the Pointed Gourds and take out the seeds and chop them.
  2. Take a blender jar and add the chopped Pointed Gourds and 1 cup water and blend to a fine paste.
  3. Heat oil in a Kadai, add cumin seeds, dry chilli, chopped onion, ginger garlic paste and saute till golden brown.
  4.  Add turmeric powder, cumin powder, salt, coriander powder and saute for a minute.
  5. Add the ground paste and stir for 5 minutes.
  6. Add yogurt and mix.
  7. Add 1 glass of water and mix.
  8. Add fried fish pieces, bring to boil and take the Kadai off the heat.
  9. Serve with rice.
