Ingredients
- 3 tsp oil
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 bay leaves
- 1 tsp ginger-garlic paste
- 1 tsp red chilli powder
- ½ tsp turmeric powder
- 1 cup tomato puree
- 2 cups boiled lobia/ black eye beans
- salt
- 1 tsp coriander powder
- ½ tsp cumin powder
- 1½ cups water
- ¼ tsp garam masala
- coriander leaves
Instructions
- Heat 3 tsp oil in a pan and add bay leaves.
- add chopped onion and ginger-garlic paste, saute until it turns golden.
- add red chilli powder and turmeric and stir it.
- add tomato puree, coriander powder, cumin powder and saute the masala until it leaves the side of the pan.
- add boiled lobia and salt and stir it well.
- add water and mix well and simmer on a low flame for 5 minutes.
- after 5 minutes add garam masala and coriander leaves.
- serve it with rice or roti.
