Ingredients
For Dough
- 2 cups maida / all purpose flour
- salt
- water for kneading
- oil for greasing
For Stuffing
- 2 tbsp oil
- 2 tsp chopped garlic
- 1 tsp chopped ginger
- 1 chopped onion
- 2 chopped green chillies
- 2 cups chopped cabbage
- 1 cup grated carrot
- 2 tbsp chopped green beans
- 3 tbsp chopped capsicum
- ½ tsp black pepper powder
- salt to taste
- 1 tsp soy sauce
- ½ cup chopped spring onions
Instructions
- firstly, take flour in a bowl and add salt and 1 tsp oil and mix well. After this, add a little water and knead the soft dough and put a cloth on it for 10 minutes and leave it to rest.
- On the other hand, put 2 tsp oil in a pan and after the oil is hot, add chopped garlic and chopped ginger and saute on high flame.
- Now add chopped onion and chopped green chillies. Saute for 1 minute.
- further, add grated carrot, chopped cabbage, chopped capsicum and chopped green beans. Stir fry on high flame.
- Now add soy sauce, black pepper powder and salt. stir well.
- lastly, add spring onion and the stuffing mixture is ready.
- further, pinch a small ball-sized dough and flatten it.
- Now dust with some maida and started to roll using a rolling pin.
- roll to an almost medium-thin circle. Make sure you roll from the sides and keep the centre slightly.
- Put a tbsp of prepared stuffing in the centre of it and prepare the momo in the shape of your choice.
- Heat a steamer and arrange the momos in the tray without touching each other.
- Steam the momos for 10-12 minutes.
- Finally, veg momos recipe is ready to serve with red momo chutney.
Notes
- Steam the momos just before serving because cooled momos will not taste good.
- You can add vegetables of your choice in momos stuffing.
