How to make Vegetable Momo

  • First, take 2 cups flour in a mixing bowl, add salt and 1 tsp oil and mix well. After this, add a little water and knead the soft dough and put a cloth on it for 10 minutes and leave it to rest.
  • On the other hand, put 2 tsp oil in a pan and after the oil is hot, add chopped garlic and chopped ginger and saute on high flame.
  • Now add 1 chopped onion and 2 chopped green chillies. Saute for 1 minute.
  • further, add 1 cup grated carrot, 2 cups chopped cabbage, 3 tbsps chopped capsicum and 2 tbsps chopped green beans. Stir fry on high flame.
  • Now add 1 tsp soy sauce, ½ tsp black pepper powder and salt. stir well.
  • lastly, add ½ cup spring onion and the stuffing mixture is ready.
  • further, pinch a small ball-sized dough and flatten it.
  • Now dust with some maida and start to roll using a rolling pin.
  • roll to an almost medium-thin circle. Make sure you roll from the sides and keep the centre slightly.
  • Put a tbsp of prepared stuffing in the centre of it and prepare the momo in the shape of your choice.
  • Heat a steamer and arrange the momos in the tray without touching each other.
  • Steam the momos for 10-12 minutes.
  • Finally, the veg momos recipe is ready to serve with red momo chutney.

  • 2 cups maida / all purpose flour
  • salt
  • water for kneading
  • oil for greasing

For Stuffing

  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 2 tsp chopped garlic
  • 1 tsp chopped ginger
  • 1 chopped onion
  • 2 chopped green chillies
  • 2 cups chopped cabbage
  • 1 cup grated carrot
  • 2 tbsp chopped green beans
  • 3 tbsp chopped capsicum
  • ½ tsp black pepper powder
  • salt to taste
  • 1 tsp soy sauce
  • ½ cup chopped spring onions

Notes

  • Steam the momos just before serving because cooled momos will not taste good.
